Is your child ready to join other 'dashers' as we kick off this year's Hats Off Day with a Family Fun Run down Hastings Street before the parade starts?

This 3 block 'dash' down Hastings Street is presented by the Heights Merchants Association and sponsored by Chevron and Scotiabank. All proceeds benefit the Burnaby Firefighters Charitable Society, and there is an official finisher's ribbon and bag of goodies for every child.

Registered children (2yrs and older, strollers and wheelchairs welcome!) must have a Team Captain (over the age of 15) accompany them. Each Team Captain can have up to 4 children on their team. Team Captains are responsible for ensuring each member of their team crosses the finish line.

NOTE: If your child is already participating in the Parade they will not be able to participate in the Family Fun Dash, as there will not be enough time to complete the run before the Parade starts.

Please check-in with your ticket(s) and/or confirmation(s) to the Race Official NO LATER THAN 930AM!!. Race Official will be standing on the north side of Hastings Street @ Madison and wearing a yellow safety vest.

ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL LINE UP AT MADISON AVE. & HASTINGS ST. WHERE THE DASH STARTLINE FOR ALL AGE GROUPS WILL BE. ALL FAMILY FUN DASH PARITICIPANTS WILL BEGIN THE RACE AT MADISON & HASTINGS AND PROCEED TO THE FINISH LINE AT MACDONALD AVE. & HASTINGS ST.

Wait until you hear the race horn sound before dashing down Hastings Street towards Macdonald, where a team of Firemen will be at the finish-line to give you a hi-five!

Promptly CLEAR the finish-line area to the side of Scotiabank where volunteers will be handing out finisher's ribbons.
