Event Details

January is National Mentorship Month, and we're kicking off our year with a panel on the highly requested topic!

Whether you're the mentor or mentee, mentorship can have remarkable effects on your career. In Lean In, Sheryl Sandberg writes, “mentorship and sponsorship are crucial for career progression.” A study of over 1,000 workers at Sun Microsystems found that mentors were promoted 6x more often than those who did not mentor formally, and mentees were promoted 5x more often than those who were not formally mentored.

So what does good mentorship look like, what benefits have others experienced, and how do you find a mentor or mentee? Join us at the Spoke Club for an interactive panel that will include our very own co-founder, Despina Zanganas, as well as Judi Hughes, one of Lean In Canada's earliest supporters and advisors. Seeking your own mentor or mentee? We'll have lots of opportunity for networking, so don't forget to bring your business cards!

Panelists:
Despina Zanganas – Co-Founder, Lean In Canada & Partner, 108 ideaspace Inc.
Judi Hughes – Partner, Your Planning Partners
Sylvia Link – Director of Marketing and Communications, Retired Teachers of Ontario
Arpita Agarwal – Senior Manager, Capgemini

Agenda:
6:30-7:00pm Registration & Networking
7:00-7:45pm Panel: Mentorship
7:45-8:15pm Audience Q&A
8:15-9:30pm Networking

Space is limited, so get your ticket early to avoid disappointment! Early bird pricing ends on January 22nd.
