2017 Addiction Research Day
On Wednesday, May 31st, the BC Centre on Substance Use is pleased to host the fourth annual Addiction Research Day between 12pm and 4:20pm at St. Paul’s Hospital.
This event is possible thanks to the generous support of the St. Paul's Hospital Foundation, Providence Health Care, BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS, Providence Health Care Research Institute, University of British Columbia, The Canada Addiction Medicine Research Fellowship, and the Canadian Research Initiative in Substance Misuse.
PLENARY LECTURE (12:00-1:00pm in the Hurlburt Auditorium)
Dr. Mark Lysyshyn, Medical Health Officer with Vancouver Coastal Health, will deliver a plenary lecture. The presentation, BC's Overdose Emergency: What We've Learned and What We Still Don't Know, will run from 12-1pm. This portion of Addiction Research Day is open to the public. Lunch will be provided.
TRAINEE PRESENTATIONS AND AWARDS (1:00-4:20pm in the Hurlburt Auditorium)
Following the plenary lecture, there will be an awards ceremony between 1:00-1:45pm. The remainder of the day will be Addiction Fellows presenting on their research through poster and oral presentations.
To assist in managing space and food orders, RSVPs are strongly encouraged for both the plenary and the afternoon events.
