2017 Canada Day Parade

Theme: Celebrating Canadian Heritage
This year as the whole country celebrates Canada’s 150th Birthday, Airdrie Parades and Fireworks will be celebrating 50 years of parades in Airdrie. This year's theme is Canadian Heritage. Think maple leaves, red & white decorations, and showing your love of our great country and community. All floats will need to incorporate the theme in abundance. We are looking for lots of creativity.
Date: Saturday, July 1, 2017
Time: Parade begins at 10:00 am. Roads close at 9:00 am.
Route: Route begins at Virginia Street and 1st Avenue NE, proceeds west to Main Street, proceeds south along Main Street to Allen Street, east and north along Allen Street and disburses in the Tri-School area.
Staging:Conducted at the T&C and Tri-School area. Detailed information will be sent out after entry has been confirmed.
Please select your category - Commercial or Not For Profit (NFP) - then complete the registration form as directed. Both commercial and NFP entries may pay the registration fee online using MasterCard or Visa only. NFP entries will be asked to supply their society registration number.
The total number of entries for the parade is limited to 100 entries, so register early to secure your spot!
All entries must be pre-approved by the parade organizers. Each vehicle requires an EventBrite ticket. For a group (performers, marching band etc) or a larger (truck and flatbed) entry please contact the Airdrie Parade and Fireworks Committee at email@example.com for further guidelines. We require a 150 word (maximum) detailed description of your float by June 1, 2017, including dimensions, and a photograph or diagram if possible. All vehicles/floats must be decorated to reflect Canada Day.
Please remember, this is a FAMILY EVENT. Unsuitable entries may be rejected.
