Description

Join us for a captivating evening celebrating the power of poetry during Poetry In Voice’s 2017 National Finals Contest (English).

Hosted by CBC personality and author Bill Richardson, the highly anticipated event features recitations from 12 contest finalists selected from more than 10,000 competing students from Grades 9 to 12 across Canada. The winners will receive more than $25,000 in prizes for themselves and their school libraries.

As part of the celebrations, three winners from the French-speaking finals and three from the Bilingual finals will recite their chosen works. This portion of the evening will be hosted by Johanne Blais, CBC Radio Canada host.

Be transported, uplifted and moved with both classic and contemporary poems from Canada and abroad, and celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary with specially curated content.

Dans le cadre des célébrations, les six lauréats des sections française (3) et bilingue (3) réciteront un poème. Cette partie de la soirée sera présentée par Johanne Blais, animatrice à Radio-Canada CBC.
