Description

Are you involved in outdoor education? Perhaps you’re working at a forest school, wilderness or nature education program. Perhaps you're a parent or community member who's interested in getting more hands-on outdoor skills. During this exciting, hands-on weekend of skill development, learn skills and activities that you can share with children!

When: Saturday August 27th 9:30-4:30 pm and Sunday August 28th, 9:30 am to 3 pm

Where: Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve, North Vancouver

What you'll learn:

  • Making cordage (rope and string) by hand
  • Tying knots and other rope skills
  • Building shelters
  • Knife skills and basic carving
  • Making fire with sticks (friction fire)
  • Native plants and wildcrafting
  • Tracking with children

Payment and Refunds

If you don't have a Paypal account or prefer to pay offline, please contact us at prod@freshairlearning.org to set up cheque payment. If you can't make it, please let us know as early as possible. For a full refund, we require two weeks' advance notice prior to the start date of the workshop.
