Event description

Description

This workshop is partly sponsored by Queen's University through its Matariki programming as well as the Wiley journal Bioethics, the official publication of the International Association of Bioethics.

We will explore the recent revisions made to two influential international research ethics guidance documents, the World Medical Association’s Declaration of Helsinki and the Council for International Organisations of Medical Sciences International Ethical Guidelines for Health-related Research Involving Humans.

The two-fold objectives of the workshop are to analyse both the role as well as the substance of these two ethical guidance documents.

In case you would like to present a paper during the workshop, please contact: Udo Schuklenk or Angela Ballantyne or Stefan Eriksson by June 30, 2017 at the latest. This workshop is not intended to be a large event, places are limited by the number of ensuite rooms available to us at Herstmonceux Castle.

A special issue of the journal Bioethics is planned, with a deadline for paper submissions in November 2017.

Here is a list of speakers and presentation topics.
