2017 Ontario Bike Summit
Tue, 11 Apr 2017, 6:00 PM – Wed, 12 Apr 2017, 4:30 PM EDT
The Ontario Bike Summit is the premier cycling conference in Ontario. The summit provides a forum for cycling stakeholders to be inspired by best practices from across Ontario and beyond and to gain the practical skills necessary to act on that inspiration. Learn from and network with professionals and volunteers from a diverse range of sectors, including: provincial and municipal government, grassroots advocacy, health, planning, engineering, tourism and more.
Join us April 11th & 12th in Toronto for the 9th Annual Ontario Bike Summit, where our summit theme is Just Add Bikes. Our 1.5 days of programming will include:
Keynote address from Todd Scott (Executive Director of Detroit Greenways Coalition) and a Mayoral Panel facilitated by the Canadian Automobile Association examining "Why Cycling Matters for Communities"
Welcoming remarks from members of the Queen's Park All-Party Cycling Caucus
Presentations and workshops addressing our summit theme focusing on advocacy best practices, community revitalization, leveraging partnerships, municipal liability, infrastructure design best practices, complete streets implementation and more
An Open Space session, opening reception and evening social for delegate networking
The 2017 Bicycle Friendly Community Awards & Wheels of Change Awards
Pre-summit sessions including a Toronto Bike Ride and Tour and the ever popular Bicycle Friendly Communities seminar
