Description

The Sword of Damocles: Living and Labouring under State Threats of Worker Status Revocation, Detention, and Removal

Canada, like many countries in the global north, has a wide-range of programs for foreign nationals looking to work in the country. Hundreds of thousands of individuals come to work in Canada through these programs.

This forum will be a platform for researchers, worker activists, legal practitioners and community support workers to share their insights about the impact of status loss, detention and deportation on workers' capacity to exercise their rights in Canada.

Consult the detailed program.

The ARHW thanks McGill's Institute for the Study of International Development and the Toyota Foundation for sponsoring this event.

Space is limited, please register before November 1st, 2017
