Join us to hear relevant industry speakers discuss this year's topic: CHANGE, in varying contexts. Followed by social networking, snacks and refreshments. Meet other designers, architects, fabrication experts, and students!

GARY WALKER-KERR | Haley Sharpe Design

Specialising in visual communication design for the museum and heritage sectors, Gary has over twenty years of experience successfully delivering environmental graphics for internationally-recognised projects. His extensive professional expertise includes branding, signage and advertising for the creative industries as well as development of specialised cultural spaces. Through his visual communication work, Gary provides an aesthetically engaging, accessible and dynamic approach to the interpretation of collections and exhibit storylines, fostering strong designer-client relationships that ultimately delivers aspirations and adds value to the overall interpretive project.

NORM LI | Norm Li

For over ten years, Norm has established a robust record for showcasing design vision and providing clients with exceptional service. Understanding his clients’ needs, Norm has built a talented team of 3D artists, each with technical expertise and in-depth understanding of architecture and visual communication. Based in Toronto Canada, Norm Li is Canada’s leading architectural visualization studio that creates rendering, animation and interactive experiences for the real estate development and design industry. From initial concepts to comprehensive marketing campaigns, Norm Li has played a key role in imagining commercial, residential, hospitality, retail, institutional and infrastructure projects around the globe from North America to Europe, Asia and beyond.


Helen Kerr leads product and system development with a focus on research and strategic innovation. She is an Associate Professor in graduate studies at OCADU. She has applied her foresight capabilities to government policy both federally and provincially. Helen was inducted into the The Royal Canadian Academy of Arts in 2016.

Nigel Smith has 25 years strategic branding experience with international clients in a variety of commercial, cultural and public sectors including universities, art museums, international architects, fashion retailers, wealth management and healthcare providers. He has worked in London and Toronto and in Milan and taught at Harvard.

MELISSA AGOSTINO | Sali Tabacchi Inc.

Melissa is a designer and co-founder of Sali Tabacchi, a Toronto-based boutique graphic design agency known for clean, simple and modern design with a playful approach. With over 18 years of experience, Melissa has created successful and often unexpected design solutions for a range of clients including the Interior Design Show Toronto and Vancouver, Moriyama & Teshima Architects, CBC, Pluck Tea, Ryerson University Department of Architecture, Rollout, and Bay Street Bull magazine. Prior to Sali Tabacchi, Melissa gained experience at leading studios in Toronto and Amsterdam. She is also the former art director of Azure magazine. Melissa is a graduate of York University, with a degree in fine arts. She also advises design thesis students as an industry mentor at George Brown College’s School of Design.

CHRISTOPHER MOOREHEAD | PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP

Christopher Moorehead is a licensed professional engineer and graphic designer specializing in the visualization of complex information streams. Chris currently holds the position of Director, Information Design, at multinational accounting and consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. His team uses information design, data visualization, and structured typography best practices to interpret data, develop focused solutions, and communicate key messages on behalf of corporate, institutional, and government clients. Chris is also a sessional instructor at OCAD University, where he teaches Wayfinding & Information Systems.

STUART KEELER | Curator | Artist

Stuart Keeler is a cultural producer with broad international experience in curating, programming, writing about and commissioning contemporary artists, public art and socially based interventions in the public realm. Stuart is currently appointed as Chief Curator | Manager, Museums & Traditions – Arts & Culture, City of Mississauga. Keeler has led complex urban projects with the City of Santa Fe – Public Libraries, City of Chicago, City of Seattle, City of Atlanta Public Art, San Diego Airport as well as independent galleries and non-profit institutions across North America. He has founded and directed numerous artist projects and curatorial affiliations associated with festivals, museums, galleries and contemporary art spaces in North America, EU and Asia.


CYNTHIA DAMAR-SCHNOBB | Entro Communications Inc.

A senior associate at Entro, Cynthia has directed a variety of EGD projects from health care, transportation, civic, commercial, retail and educational facilities. She brings to the table her remarkable grasp of wayfinding planning/strategies and a thorough understanding of manufacturing methods and technologies. Cynthia has contributed her expertise to the development of a number of local and international wayfinding and signage programs. Cynthia is an active member of the SEGD community, currently serving her fourth year as a Chapter Chair. She received her Bachelor of Industrial Design degree from Carleton University.

PHILLIP NOVAK | Gensler Architecture/Design

Phillip Novak is an environmental graphic designer with Gensler Architecture/Design in Toronto, with past experiences that include working at Don Watt + Partners, Cygnus Group, as well as Gottschalk & Ash. Having started in photography & specialty print-production, his experience ranges from design for packaging, identity and EGD to signage and wayfinding projects for corporate and healthcare clients. Passionate for all things visual, Phillip draws inspiration from his international experiences in Germany, Atlanta and now Toronto. Phillip Novak studied Graphic Design at Conestoga College and Audio Engineering at the Ontario Institute of Recording Technology.
