You're invited to master the art of mentoring and celebrate local businesses with ThriveNorth!


ThriveNorth Lunch and Mentor Masterclass

12:00 – 4:00 p.m., $25

Join us for lunch and then take part in the Mentor Masterclass facilitated by business consultant, strategist and entrepreneur coach Jacqueline Jennings.

  • Identify and address some of the top challenges experienced in mentoring relationships
  • Learn how to approach mentorship from an expert
  • Connect with other current and aspiring mentors


Jacqueline Jennings believes that an entrepreneur impassioned to solve a problem is a force to be reckoned with. With a background in fashion retail and tech, Jacqueline has worked for various successful British Columbia-based businesses such as Aritzia, Lululemon and more recently running a start-up accelerator program for young entrepreneurs out of Hootsuite in Vancouver. While coaching and consulting, she has helped launch and grow over 45 ventures. Living and working just outside Vancouver, on the Sunshine Coast with her family, Jacqueline is passionate about developing leadership and connecting underserved entrepreneurs with resources and networks to help them succeed.

ThriveNorth


ThriveNorth empowers young people to start and grow businesses in the Northwest region of British Columbia. It provides emerging business owners aged 18 to 39 with resources, financing, mentoring and connections to other support in their communities. ThriveNorth is a joint initiative between Futurpreneur Canada and Prince Rupert LNG, the proposed LNG project on Ridley Island.

Launched in November 2014, ThriveNorth was created through a five-year partnership established by Youth Business International (YBI), a global network of independent non-profit initiatives supporting youth entrepreneurship. Futurpreneur Canada is YBI's Canadian member and has been helping young and emerging business owners since 1996.
