The Canadian Mineral Processors Society (CMP) is non-profit group made up of operators, engineers, academics, manufacturers and suppliers who are passionate about improving the mineral processing industry in Canada and worldwide. Focusing on operational experience, networking and students in the mineral processing, mining and petroleum industry, this organization promotes the industry through knowledge sharing and mentorship of local educational institutions.

Conference of the Canadian Mineral Processors Alberta NWT Nunavut

to be held in Fort McMurray on Wednesday, September 26, 2018.

The CMP conference has provided a forum for discussing best practices and the latest improvements in mineral processing technology. This event provides opportunities abound in networking, knowledge sharing and professional development.

With oil sands playing a key role of the mineral processing industry in the region, the Conference is strongly supported by the local oil sand operators, equipment/material suppliers and consulting engineers.

The 2018 Alberta, NWT & Nunavut Regional CMP Conference will feature discussions and information on operating plants, describing plant start-ups and improvements, application of new or new to industry technologies, characterization and process mineralogy in optimization and design opportunities to showcase current states and advances in mineral processing. It is an opportunity to meet companies who work on improving efficiency, focus on innovation and environmental responsibility.

With Learning Sessions, Panel Discussion, Lunch Buffet and Post-Conference Reception.

Our critical priority is inviting students from the regional mineral processing educational institutions. This promotes new interactions and networking between students coming into the industry and the industry professionals. Our branch is able to provide conference attendance to university and college students (including Keyano College, U of C, U of A, NAIT, SAIT) free of charge thanks to the sponsorship of the local industry.
