PRESENTER BIOGRAPHIES

Raymond Leury MBA, VP of Electrical Vehicle Council of Ottawa, http://Evco.ca 613-720-0854:

Now semi-retired, Raymond had a career as an IT Consultant for over 25 years, consulting to both private and public sector clients throughout Canada and the United States. The last 18 years he spent working for Microsoft culminating in the position of Principal Consultant. Raymond has always been interested in environmental issues, which led him to purchase an electric vehicle (EV) 5 years ago. Since then he has been involved with EV owner’s groups, and now occupies the positions of VP for the Electric Vehicle Council of Ottawa, and Director of the EV Society and Ontario based umbrella for local EV owners groups. Raymond attended Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project leadership corps which re-ignited his passion for environmental issues, in particular the reduction of green house gas emissions.

Raymond splits his time between advocating for EVs, talking climate change, and volunteering with the Red Cross, most recently helping with the aftermath of the Ottawa tornadoes.

Casey Grey, Founder of The Conscious Builder Inc. p: 613-693-0914, f: 613-491-2015, e: Casey@TheConsciousBuilder.com

Casey has been in residential construction since he was 17 and is a licensed carpenter. From lego to shop class, Casey has always been interested in building. He worked for one small renovation/development company for 7 years before he decided to start his own company. It quickly grew to become The Conscious Builder and he kicked off his Conscious Building career with a Certified Passive Home for him and his family in 2012.

Casey is committed to consistently improving himself in order to serve those around him to the best of his ability. He meditates, journals, reads and exercises regularly. His diet consists of mostly plant based food with fish and he avoids gluten and dairy 95% of the time. His favourite quote is “Be The Change You Wish To See In The World” because of the lesson his son has taught him; People will do what you do, not what you say. Casey grew up in Orleans, Ontario and is married to his amazing wife, Natasha. They have been together since 2004 and have one son, Sullivan. Outside of work and family, Casey loves to take road trips in his 1977 VW Van. It’s a great reminder to slow down and enjoy the journey, wherever it takes you. It’s about the people you’re with and the memories you create along the way.
