The Civic Orchestra of Victoria is pleased to present its 36th concert season!

Your local community orchestra brings you four fantastic performances, under the musical direction of Brian Wismath. Buy a season ticket package that includes all four concerts and save!

Not able to attend all four concerts? New this year, you have the option to purchase a three-concert season ticket. (You will be asked to indicate the three concerts you would like to attend during the ordering process.)

A perennial holiday classic! Hundreds of audience member voices join as a choir inside the beautiful Alix Goolden Hall for our sing-along rendition of Handel's most famous oratorio.

A concert of English repertoire performed under the baton of esteemed guest conductor, Giuseppe (Joey) Pietraroia. Joey is is Conductor-in-Residence for both Pacific Opera Victoria and the Victoria Symphony.

How do I receive my tickets?

Season ticket packages ordered through Eventbrite will be sent by mail prior to the first concert, unless Will Call pick up is requested. Ticket packages ordered after October 31, 2019 will automatically be held at Will Call for pickup 45 minutes prior to your first concert. Please bring ID when you pick up tickets.

For 3-concert tickets, how do I indicate which concerts I wish to attend?

If you are ordering a 3-concert package, you will have the option to choose your concerts on the order form. Please check the 3 concerts that you would like to attend. 

Can I choose my seats?

All tickets sold are First Come First Served seating (no reserved seats). If you require special assistance due to mobility or other needs, please contact us.

Are the venues wheelchair accessible?

Yes, both the Dave Dunnet Theatre and Alix Goolden Hall are wheelchair accessible.

Can I purchase season tickets by mail order?

Yes, you can. Please visit for more information.

Is there a discount for students?

Secondary and Post-Secondary student tickets are always $10 per concert with valid student ID. Student price tickets can be purchased for individual concerts, but not as a season set. More information about individual concert tickets can be found at If you purchase student tickets online, please be prepared to show valid student ID at the door.

Can children attend the concerts?

Yes, children are welcome! Tickets for children 12 and under are FREE when accompanied by an adult with a paid ticket. Maximum 2 free childrens tickets per adult. Additional children's tickets can be purchased at the Student rate.

Please note: For all concerts except Sing-Along Messiah (children are welcome at Messiah but do not require a ticket for entry), please select and print a FREE online children's ticket for each child you plan to bring.

Why are there service fees and how can I avoid them?

Service fees are charged by our ticketing service (eventbrite) in exchange for the convenience of ordering online and also to offset the fees charged by credit card companies. If you wish to avoid paying service fees, you can visit the Tickets page of our website to print off an order form and send your order in by mail, along with a cheque. Or contact us by email or phone to request that we mail you a brochure and order form directly.

Can I buy tickets to individual concerts?

Civic Orchestra of Victoria

Inaugurated in 1983, the Civic Orchestra of Victoria is a not-for-profit volunteer organization dedicated to providing accessible concerts to the Greater Victoria community, as well as an opportunity for musicians of varying ages and abilities to perform a wide repertoire of orchestral music. The orchestra also serves as a platform for aspiring soloists and directors, as well as choral groups, both as a learning experience and for the enjoyment of its members. Orchestra members are comprised of current and retired music professionals, talented young people, and community members who enjoy playing together.
