We will be hosting another community event in Malton in spring 2020. To be the first to know about future One Million Trees events, subscribe to our mailing list.

Join the the City of Mississauga, Toronto and Region Conservation Authority and Ecosource at the One Million Trees National Forest Week Celebration at Elmcreek Park. Gather your friends and family on Saturday, September 21 to learn about pollinators and forests, plant trees, and participate in fun, interactive activities.
This is a rain or shine event. Please dress appropriately as you will get dirty! Closed toed shoes are required to participate in the event.
Schedule of Events
9:30 am – Registration opens
10:00 am – Opening remarks
10:15 am – You will have the opportunity to participate in a number of activities including making seed balls with native wildflower seeds, going on a pollinator tour and catching insects, painting bee boxes, learning about forest health monitoring and more!
11:00 am - Tree planting
12:00 pm - Lunch
Additional Notes:
- Group registration is limited to 12 people.
- A waiver form will be emailed to all participants in advance. Please bring a signed copy for each person participating on the date of the event.
- Refreshments will be provided in the morning. Please bring your own travel mug or cup.
- Gloves and tools will be provided but please bring your own if you have them.
- Additional event information will be provided by email closer to the date.
