Description

The Ontario Bike Summit is the premier cycling conference in Ontario. The summit provides a forum for cycling stakeholders to be inspired by best practices from across Ontario and beyond and to gain the practical skills necessary to act on that inspiration. Learn from and network with professionals and volunteers from a diverse range of sectors, including: provincial and municipal government, grassroots advocacy, health, planning, engineering, tourism and more.

Join us April 1st & 2nd in Toronto for the 11th Annual Ontario Bike Summit at the Courtyard by Marriott, Downtown Toronto where our summit theme is #BikesCanDoThat. Our 2 days of programming will include:

Sunday, March 31, 2019

  • BIKE MINDS Storytelling event (complimentary tickets available for a limited number of summit delegates, first-come, first-served)

Monday, April 1, 2019 (10am to 9pm)

  • Shared mobility workshop in partnership with the North America Bike Share Association;
  • Bike tours of Toronto cycling infrastructure. The bike tour is only open to people who have purchased a full summit ticket, or a Monday only ticket. There are limited spots. We will send out the link to register after the early bird deadline (February 28);
  • The always popular Bicycle Friendly Communities Seminar;
  • Networking Reception and 2019 Awards Dinner;
  • Welcoming remarks from members of the Queen’s Park All Party Cycling Caucus (invited);
  • Meals included on Monday: Grab & Go networking lunch, dinner.

Tuesday, April 2, 2019 (8:30am to 5pm)

  • Keynote panel discussing Vision Zero best practices for Ontario;

  • Participatory Keynote on race, gender and class in cycling with Jay Pitter;

  • Presentations and workshops that focus on our summit theme: Cycling in the Suburbs, Influencing Change, Planning for a Network, Building Safe Streets, Building Healthy Communities, and an Inspiration Session;

  • Cycling Design session with the Association of Pedestrian and Bicycling Professionals and updates on Ontario Traffic Manual Book 18;

  • Meals included on Tuesday: breakfast, networking lunch, snacks x2
