Description
In the heart of the planet's only inland temperate rainforest, board one of our specially designed boats or jeeps for this smooth but exciting Safari (duration depends on the type of safari you choose). Explore up to 12 kilometres of the spectacular Bear Valley - where the bears decide when and for how long we stop along the way.
In addition to an information-packed narrative, guides will point out birds and wildlife like black bears, glaciers and many waterfalls toppling from the surrounding snow-capped mountains.
To complete your perfect Canadian wilderness experience, enjoy a meal in our unique floating restaurant where our special menu focuses around wild salmon, game, berries and greens, the favourites from a bear’s diet.
With a boat departing every 30-60 minutes NO reservation is required, making the River Safari an absolute 'must-do' activity. Your point of departure is conveniently located just north of Blue River on Yellow Head Highway Five just halfway between Jasper and Kamloops, as well as halfway between Mt. Robson and Wells Grey Park.
Tickets are valid any time 7 days a week from 9am to 4pm from May 10th, 2019 - October 1st, 2019.
River Safari - departures: every 30 - 60 minutes - Catamaran + Jet Boat Tour - 2 hours plus
The River Safari is our most popular tour! You will start your exploration on one of our 40 ft motorised catamarans and complete your trip on one of our specially designed Jet Boats. Our highly skilled jet-boat operators are phenomenal tactical drivers, navigating you through our river deltas with waters as shallow as 3 inches (8cm)! As you are travelling up small rivers, gliding over water only inches deep and going where it seems no boat has gone before.
Jeep Safari - 1.5 hours plus
On our exciting Jeep Safari, we will be taking passengers in our 4x4 off-road Jeeps for another amazing hour, up Parberry Mountain and into the rainforest! Experience first-hand the intimate adventure of seeing, touching and tasting the foods and habitat of the bears in the world’s only inland temperate rainforest.
Super Safari - River Safari + Jeep Safari - 3.5 hours plus
Our Super Safari enables you to explore the rainforest like nothing else. Start your experience in our gorgeous 40 ft catamarans to observe any wildlife in the area. Following this, transfer to our jet boats and speed through our River Deltas for a thrilling experience. Complete your tour with an adventurous Jeep ride through the rainforest and soak in the uncomparable panoramic views from Parberry Mountain!
Eco Safari - departures: 9:30 am & 3:00 pm only - Catamaran Tour - 1 hour plus
Come with us on one of our motorised and stable 40 ft catamarans for One Amazing Adventure! This breathtaking Safari provides a quiet and calm environment best suited for wildlife viewings and photography. Hop on board, sit back & relax! One of our experienced Safari Guides will navigate you through our tranquil waters so you can soak in the serene nature this tour has to offer.
