Event description
Kawartha Farmfest is an annual one-day, self-guided driving tour of farms and rural attractions throughout Kawartha Lakes.

About this Event

Kawartha Farmfest - Experience the Fall Harvest!

Enjoy a Self-Driving Tour of Farms & Rural Attractions in Kawartha Lakes and experience the fall harvest on Saturday, October 3, 2020 - The Saturday before Thanksgiving from 10 am - 4 pm

See www.kawarthafarmfest.com for full details on farm sites, farmers' markets and rural attractions included in the Kawartha Farmfest.

Kawartha Farmfest makes its annual return on Saturday October 3, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. The self-guided tour features 9 sites including stops at four family farms. Health and safety protocols have been put in place to allow for physical distancing and contact tracing will be facilitated through online registration. See website for full COVID-safety protocols like physical distancing, handwashing, reduced touch points and increased sanitation.

Kawartha Farmfest is an opportunity for people to engage with area agricultural producers and retailers in a fun, family friendly and safe way. It’s a chance for people to experience the fall harvest first hand while learning about the farms in the community. The participating host farms are graciously opening their doors to provide tours and answer questions about their operation. Kawartha Farmfest is both a celebration of agriculture and brings the community together in a hands-on experiential way.

Ticket options:

$5 General Adult Admission. Kids under 14 have free admission, but must be registered with your group through online ticketing in advance. For 2020, tickets will be ONLY available online in advance through this Eventbrite site. Tickets will NOT be available at tour sites on event day. No walk-ins.

What's a day out without a stop for Kawartha Dairy ice cream?

As a special treat, advance ticket holders will receive, during check-in at your first Farm Site, a "Buy one cone, Get one cone free" at Kawartha Dairy in Lindsay or Bobcaygeon coupon. Valid during Farmfest only. Saturday, October 3, 2020. Coupon must be surrendered at time of purchase.

Online Ticket Purchase and Site Visit Registration:

Tickets are available for purchase online only due to Health and Safety Plans and pandemic reopening limits.

Each host site will have attendance limits of 100 participants at a time for outdoor sites and 50 participants for indoor sites. HKPR Health Unit confirms that Kawartha Farmfest is a TOUR as per Section 19(1) of Schedule 2 of OR 364, therefore the old limits of 50 indoors and 100 outdoors apply . Advanced online purchase is available until 6:00 p.m. October 2, 2020.

Prior to registering, please review the list Sites to plan your day. You will be prompted to schedule your Farm Site visits during the registration process and cannot add selections once you have completed your registration. To assist you, please see this Google Map of all Farmfest Sites.

To register, purchase the number of adult admission tickets required. Then select "Farm Entry" tickets for each farm you wish to visit. Choose the time that you plan to attend and enter the number of tickets required for your full group (children and adults). Do this for each of the farms you plan to attend, and be sure to leave time for travel between Sites, as well as stops at the Farmers' Markets and at Kawartha Dairy. Note, children under 14 are free but need to be counted to maintain Health and Safety protocols. Due to the reduced limits placed on events by the Province of Ontario, attendees are asked to limit their visits to approximately 30 minutes per site to allow for travel between sites, and so other guests can enter the site to enjoy the tour.

Your selections will be printed on your ticket confirmation to remind you of your schedule for the day.
