This year, we’re digging into the farm income and climate crises. This fall, the NFU released Tackling the Farm Crisis and the Climate Crisis, which examines in depth the impacts of climate change on agriculture in Canada, as well as the opportunities that agriculture provides to become part of the solution and calls for incentivizing low-input, low-emission agricultural approaches.

Members of the Climate Leadership Project Committee will present details from the report, and in the afternoon, we will learn from organizations who are working with farmers to incentivize and finance climate-friendly farming projects.

Interspersed throughout the day, we’ll hear reports from NFU-O Council and national officials, elect leadership, and debate policy resolutions.
