Event description
BC BEER CON returning Feb 3, 4, 5, is hosted by the BC Craft Brewers Guild and presented by Great Little Box Company | Ideon Packaging.

About this Event

BC Beer Con has gone VIRTUAL for 2021!

Bringing together key stakeholders from the BC craft brewing industry for an annual educational and networking event.

In response to current public health advisories, we have taken the opportunity to innovate and develop a conference focused on enriched virtual experiences that will keep our community connected during the conference and throughout the year.

To do this, the conference will feature an opening Keynote Speaker each day, educational seminars and networking sessions centred around activating a new online community platform. The BC Craft Brewers Guild Community will create space for attendees to form new contacts directly with industry peers, connect with industry suppliers and gain insight into key industry issues, year-round. Before we split off into tracks, we have some special guests for you.

  1. Brewing up real change – a discussion about diversity, inclusion and equality: Ren Navarro of Beer. Diversity.
  2. The Path Forward for the Hospitality Industry from COVID-19: Ian Tostenson President and CEO of the British Columbia Restaurant and Foodservices Association
  3. Tourism Industry Update with Assistant Deputy Minister, Salman Azam of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture.

Interactive Diversity & Inclusion Workshop

In addition, we are offering an interactive two-part workshop for the morning session presented by Jalapeno Employee Engagement: What does it take to make High-Quality Beer? Creating a lasting impact on the brewing industry by taking the right steps towards leveraging diversity and inclusion for higher performance and engagement in your business.

The Educational Seminars are divided into half-day tracks: Brewing, Marketing & Sales. Operations, and Finance. Each track consists of three 30 minute seminars followed by a 15 min Q & A hosted by the seminar sponsor. No more concurrent sessions — stay for the whole conference or just attend the half-day that pertains to your job. Either way, you won’t miss anything as there’s no overlapping.

The Conference will be preceded by and closed out with an entertaining online quiz show, hosted by Benji Duke from quizthis.ca. Ticket holders will be sent a link to play on a team a few days before the conference.

Tickets: $20 for Guild Member Brewery Staff and $50 for Non-Member Brewery staff and the Public.

**All seminars will be recorded so ticket holders who cannot watch live, will have access to view them at a later time.

50% from every ticket sold will go to support the Canadian Craft Brewers Association and our collective efforts to create a more inclusive and diverse craft beer community.

A three-day educational and networking event where you can:

Attend our peer and industry-led educational VIRTUAL sessions organized into half-day tracks. Brewing Technical, Brewing Logistics, Marketing, Sales and Operations, and Finance.

We’re bringing in top industry suppliers from all over North America for you to connect with. Each 30-minute educational seminar is followed by a 15-minute Q & A hosted by the seminar sponsor.

*JOIN OUR COMMUNITY (Guild Brewery Member ticket holders and Sponsors only)

Brewery staff will be on-boarded to the BCCBG Community which will connect the industry, bolster the seminars and deliver value year-round. Sponsors will have a forum to connect with breweries year-round.
