About Women Making Waves

We are excited to host Women Making Waves 2021 from March 25th - March 28th!

The Annual Women Making Waves Conference celebrates, empowers and connects industry professionals. The conference gives the opportunity to learn from industry experts, network with peers, and participate in Women in Film and Television - Atlantic’s ongoing efforts to expand representation and gender equity in film, television, and screen-based media.

This year, Women Making Waves will be held virtually over four days instead of the historic two, spreading out the content to prevent fatigue and allowing for manageable breaks. Events will not be held simultaneously this year, allowing attendees to partake in double the content for a fraction of the price! The virtual world also lends itself to increased accessibility for attendees – closed captioning and ASL will be provided for all webinars!

The agenda includes presentations, screenings, workshops, panel discussions, spotlight conversations, and plenty of networking opportunities. Check out the Virtual Conference 101 page for more information on how this year's event is being hosted!

The Conference routinely attracts influential movers and shakers in the film and entertainment industries, who come to discuss both the art and business of developing projects for film and television. We have an exciting slate of instructors, speakers and panellists this year representing a wide range of roles across the spectrum of film and television production.
