About this event

Are you considering applying to the Black Arts Projects program, but need more information about if this program is right for you? Are you interested in applying to the program but need guidance about your application or idea? Then consider attending our Black Arts Projects office hours!

TAC is hosting multiple office hour sessions with the Program Manager of the Black Arts program, Timaj Garad, where applicants will have an opportunity to drop-in to ask questions about the program and application process. Please note: you are not required to attend the full session, but can instead drop-in for the duration of time it requires for you to receive the support you need.

The Black Arts Projects Program supports arts projects by Black artists, Black artist collectives, and Black-led, Black-focused and Black-serving organizations. TAC recognizes the need to respond to barriers that Black arts communities face due to anti-Black racism. The program is designed to increase access to, awareness of, and participation in Toronto Arts Council funding by Black artists, while amplifying the work of Black artists in the city and creating avenues for sustainable art practice. The City of Toronto supports this program through a funding allocation approved annually by Toronto City Council.

Applications are accepted on an on-going basis throughout the year until October 6, 2022.
