Join us as the OBHS Kicks Off Black History Month and recognizes the achievement of Canadians in Community Service and more.

About this event

Join us as the Ontario Black History Society in partnership with our lead sponsor TD Bank hosts our 34th annual Black History Month Kick-Off to recognize the histories and achievements of Black Canadians and fund raise for our organization. Our theme this year is "Home."

Partake in an exciting programme and enjoy a delectable dinner prepared and delivered by Chef Selwyn Richards (please note: delivery restrictions apply). Tickets are now on sale!

Outside of the delivery area? There are ticket options. Interested in donating your meal to a community member/organization? We will take care of that for you.

The Ontario Black History Society (OBHS) is a non-profit registered Canadian charity, dedicated to the study, preservation and promotion of Black History and heritage.

The Society aims to foster public interest and encourage the interest of Black History through:

Recognition, preservation and promotion of the contributions of Black peoples and their collective histories through education, research and cooperation.

Sponsorship and support of educational conferences and exhibits in this field.

Promoting the inclusion of material on Black History in school curricular.
