About this event
Fun learning while playing in, and caring for, nature along Silver Creek.
Gardening and nature exploration activities will be guided by the book written by Terry Piece, My Busy Green Garden. Both, vegetable and wildlife gardening including soil exploration, will engage children in fun physical activities that connect them to where their food comes from and how to care for plants and nature.
To serve you better, we added more weeks and increased the program to 4 hrs from 9:00am-1:00pm. Parents may register their child(ren) ages 4-12. We follow Ontario Health Guidelines. Come join us at the confluence of the Credit River and Silver Creek daily to see and hear nature’s wonders, immersed in the ravine’s ecology.
Children engage in experiential learning, fun nature-based activities. They enjoy the benefits of nature immersion while learning, gardening and nature care, discovery walks, handicrafts/art, literacy activiteis and songs/games. Themes foster curiosity and an understanding of the natural world and our role in it. Stay for a family picnic lunchon. Dress for fun in all weather! Sign up early!
