About this event
The Fortress Louisbourg Association, in collaboration with Parks Canada and Cape Breton University, will be offering the 2023 Fife and Drum Training Program beginning February 4th, 2023. All students between the ages of 10 & 16 are invited to register for this unique program. Previous musical experience or participation in the Children’s and Apprentice Programs is not required.
Includes: 10 hour-long in-person classes. 18th-century music booklet. One practice fife. One set of practice drumsticks. Family Membership to the Fortress Louisbourg Association.

Term 1: February 4, 11, 18, 25, March 4

Term 2: April 29, May 6, 13, 20, 27
Times
Beginner: 10:00am - 11:00am
Intermediate: 11:00am - 12:00pm
Location
Cape Breton University (classroom details will be sent to registrants)
Please note: participants must have attended the Fife and Drum Spring Training Program in order to join the Fife and Drum Core during the summer months, both as volunteers and paid employees.
