2023 Home Design + Reno Show

The Home + Design and Reno Show is a unique boutique show with a focus on home design. Sponsored by Western Living Magazine , Trail Appliances, and Dicks Lumber and Building Supplies, set amongst the picturesque VanDusen Botanical Garden, this event is for homeowners actively focused on home renovations looking to source designers who can inspire, and builders and suppliers who can bring their home projects to life.

This event is free to attend. Pre-registration is necessary. The first 50 people to attend will get two complimentary ticket to access the botanical gardens. Tickets are valid for general admission only on April 1st, 2023 between 9:30am – 3:30 pm. Limit of 2 garden tickets per family.

Show Highlight:

20+ designers, renovators, builders, and suppliers will be available from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM to answer your home design and renovation questions.

Choose between six Design Labs (panel discussions) or attend them all! Seating is limited. Be sure to arrive early as these sessions do fill up quickly.

10:00 AM – Kitchen Design for Small Spaces: Limited space? Use good design to achieve efficiency and function

11:00 AM – Discover your Design Style: Learn to create a Pinterest board through the eyes of professionals while navigating the latest design trends.

12:00 PM – Windows by Design: Opening your homes to natural light, within budget and scope

1:00 PM – Dollars & Sense: Understanding budgets and contracts to realize your dream designs.

2:00 PM – Leveraging Your Property by Design: Basement suites (government grants), laneways, multi-generational living, backyard workspaces

3:00 PM – Mechanics of Designing a High-performance Home: Understanding the options and associated costs to operate your home; heat pumps, electrical, HVAC, renewal natural gas, etc.
