2:30-3:15 PM: Professor Leith Davis delivers a lecture on Robert Burns and Cultural Memory and the history of Burns Day. This will be followed by a Q & A.
15-minute break
3:30-4:20 PM: Burns Day Celebration
- Piping (or other music) for the Haggis (haggis will not be served)
- Address to a Haggis
- Selkirk Grace
- Immortal Memory
- Toast to the "Lassies"
- Response to the Toast to the "Lassies"
plus various performances...to be announced
- Singing of Auld Lang Syne
Note: Please feel free to attend all the events or the lecture only (arrive at 2:30 PM) or the celebration only (arrive at 3:30 PM).
