“… a recent survey of directors, CEOs and senior executives found that their digital transformation (DT) risk is their #1 concern in 2019. Yet 70% of all DT initiatives do not reach their goals. Of the $1.3 trillion that was spent on DT last year, it was estimated that $900 billion went to waste.” (Harvard Business Review - Tabrizi, Behnam et al 2019)

Conference Aim: The conference brings together government professionals, private sector practitioners, and academia to share experiences, innovation and emerging standards and technologies in support of both government digital transformation (strategic effectiveness) and digitization (operational efficiency) initiatives. Attendees will be able to claim up to 22 CPEs, PDUs, or CEUs. A COBIT 2019 course will also be held on Monday the 15th & Friday the 19th of June (15 CPEs).

Conference Format: The three days with have morning plenaries followed by managerial and technical streams in the afternoons at the new University of Ottawa facilities. Attendees will have coffee breaks and lunches every day and a special evening networking and buffet event on the 16th of June. Themes include (but are not limited to):

• Cyber-Security and Privacy

• Governance and Enterprise Architecture

• Management of Change • Audit and Risk Management

• Integrating technology into business

• Government Design and Innovation

• Promoting Women in STEM SheLeadsTech

The morning Plenaries and afternoon Management Streams will be business friendly.

We are expecting 300 attendees from the public, private and academic sector with speakers from the European Commission, Council of the European Union, the US National Association of State CIOs and India Digital Transformation as well as the public and private sectors. Hon. Joyce Murray - Minister of Digital Government has tentatively accepted. The conference is not for profit and run by a consortium of professional associations as well as the newly branded University of Ottawa Digital Transformation and Innovation Program (formerly e-Business).
