Bring your family to plant trees, remove invasive species, drink Cedar tea, and hear Indigenous speakers talk to sustainable Land practices.

The Waterloo Region District School Board and White Owl Native Ancestry Association invite you to the 2nd Annual Reconciliation Tree Plant to be held at Blair Outdoor Education Centre on April 18th 2020 from 10am-3pm.

The Land has been and continues to be deeply impacted by colonization. We have a responsibility to work towards restoring ecosystems and relationships.

Things to do at 2nd Annual Reconciliation Tree Plant...

- plant trees

- drink Cedar tea

- browse Indigenous makers market (purchase beading, paintings, and other artwork from local Indigenous artisans)

- help prepare the Indigenous Food Garden for the coming year

- spend time in nature (hike around the property with trails and Blair Creek)

- Listen to Indigenous presenters speak about sustainable Indigenous Land practices

This is a free event, however please consider donating to White Owl Native Ancestry Association (www.wonaa.ca) or the Waterloo Education Foundation Inc.
