Description

2SLGBTQQIA+: An Inclusion Workshop for Service Providers in the Anti-Violence Sector

Individualized training from the Canadian Centre for Gender and Sexual Diversity, tailored through input from the community. This presentation will also include a section on Intimate Partner Violence within Queer Relationships.

Presentation by Theo, a 2Spirited individual who will share her experience

Information from Kingston Community Health Clinic's new Trans Clinic

Who should attend this?
All service providers, including front-line staff and management, who work in the Anti-Violence Sector.

Why should you attend this?
The Kingston Community shared openly with the Diversity Group regarding the experiences that they have had when attempting to access services that support survivors of sexual violence. The survey results have shown that there is a significant need for service providers to learn about not just being tolerant, but welcoming diversity.

What will I get out of this presentation?

1. A free lunch and snacks (lunch and snacks provided through Native Renaissance Catering)

2. Stories from those with lived experiences

3. Insight into how service-users are interacting with the Anti-Violence Services Sector

4. Take home materials from CCGSD and HARS
