Description

Design at Riverside presents two exciting graphic design exhibitions in collaboration with the Association of Registered Graphic Designers, winners of the first-ever international Social Good Design Awards (coined So Good), and Design at Work: The Best of Western Ontario, featuring exceptional work by professional graphic designers from the region.

RGD and the Cambridge Galleries invite you to attend the opening reception for 2X Graphic Design happening:

Thursday, May 30th
6:30pm, Remarks at 7:00pm
Cambridge Galleries, Design at Riverside
7 Melville Street, Cambridge, ON

So Good is a juried exhibition of 48 projects from 11 countries, selected from over 200 submissions. “Design for social good is a tricky business,” says Paddy Harrington RGD, So Good jury member and former Executive Creative Director, Bruce Mau Design. “The winning submissions manage to make difficult ideas into powerful communication that not only raises awareness, but also the level of design.”

Design at Work: The Best of Western Ontario celebrates 12 outstanding projects by regional designers that demonstrate the strategic value that graphic design offers to businesses, with explanations of the client goals and design solutions. Featured work includes magazine/book designs, advertising campaigns, corporate rebrands, websites, annual reports, promotional materials and package design for local and national companies.

Cambridge Galleries presents contemporary art, architecture and design from three locations in the City of Cambridge: Design at Riverside, Preston, and Queen s Square.
