Description

This June & July at Toronto's Don Mills Public Library, we are offering a 3-week series designed to teach the basics of Buddhist meditation and stress reduction. Each week, qualified meditation teacher, Cynthia McGilvray, will guide you through meditations and techniques for developing and maintaining a peaceful, happy mind in daily life.

Everybody welcome! No experience necessary.


When: Tuesday June 25, July 2 & 9

Time: 6:45 – 8:00 pm

Cost: $25 for all three classes or $12 per class. Drop-ins welcome.


Series Description & Details


June 25 Letting Go of Anxiety

In this introductory talk with meditation, you will be introduced to easy breathing techniques that will help you find your own peace of mind. As well, you will learn the basics of developing and maintaining a peaceful mind all the time.

July 2 Getting Your Life in Context

Moving on with more meditation and getting to know how to put things in perspective, so you can keep a healthy and constantly positive attitude whatever circumstances appear in your life.

July 9 Seven Keys to Happiness

Deeper meditation and learning to create the roots of your future happiness while removing the roots of future suffering by using seven essential techniques in your daily life.
