Ever wanted to turn a file on your computer into a tactile object for rapid prototyping? Ever wanted to design and create objects only achievable by 3D printing? This workshop is geared towards teaching you how to properly and safely operate the 3D printers at Site 3 CoLaboratory. This class will teach you how to install and run Cura, how to find 3D models to print, how to set up files for print and how to operate the 3D printers. You will print out a small model of your choosing as a proof of class completion. After the class you will be able to use the 3D printers at Site 3 without supervision. You can then print 3D objects to be used in projects and rapid prototyping. Anyone looking to use the 3D printers at Site 3 must take this course. All attendees are encouraged to bring in a laptop to learn on and set up Cura on. A workstation will be available to share if you do not have a laptop.
