3nd Annual CDLI Big Meet Up - Saturday 5 November, 2016

Join us on Satruday, November 5, 9am - 3pm, for a day of exploring new and creative ways of community building and working collaboratively on urgent challenges. Learn of great initiatives happening in communities and neighbourhoods across Calgary. Expect to form new connections, engage in transformative conversations and share and gain additional skills and insights to make communities in Calgary an even better place to belong.
We need your passion, creativity and courage at this gathering.
You will be challenged and encouraged to collaborate on finding creative solutions to complex issues facing Calgary communities... we look forward to seeing and hearing from you!
8:30am – Registration
9:00am – Welcome & CDLI Introduction
9:30am – Keynote Speaker & Discussion on why the need to break out of siloed ways of working and thinking at the neighborhood level and right up to system's/agency/ sector levels
[Keynote Speaker Howard Lawrence is co-founder of the Asset-Based Neighbourhood Organizing Association with John McKnight. He consults on neighbourhood health across North America and is currently developing and spearheading The Abundant Community Initiative (ACI) with The City of Edmonton. Howard has a passion for grassroots neighbourhood engagement and continues to work collaboratively with McKnight, The City of Edmonton and others, to find ways to enable people to build neighbourly relationships and increase their collective capacity within their neighbourhoods.]
