Event description

Description

B.C. Schizophrenia Society is proud to present "Re-Mind: A Day of Art, Music, & Readings," an event that brings people together to end the stigma surrounding mental illness with live music, food, and drinks!

Once again we will be celebrating the artistic accomplishments of those living with schizophrenia and other severe and persistent mental illness. With live performances from Hotel Mira, a reading from Erin Emiru (winner of the 2019 Courage to Come Back Awards), and select works by local artists, the evening isn’t one to be missed.

Art, music and writing are some of the tools and strategies that people use in their journey of recovery to re-frame themselves. This event was developed to highlight and “re-mind” people that there is still hope for those affected by severe and persistent mental illnesses.

All artists, musicians and authors presenting in the event have lived experience of schizophrenia or another severe and persistent mental illness.

FREE (DONATIONS ENCOURAGED AT THE DOOR)

All donations go towards supporting B.C. Schizophrenia Society and the life saving programs it offers across the province to families affected by schizophrenia and serious mental illness.
