About Valerie:

Valerie is a Registered Yoga teacher (E-RYT 500) with Yoga Alliance which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with an approved and active RYS. She is the co-founder of her own school of yoga "Mothership School of Yoga". Valerie owes her wealth of knowledge and experience to an amazing list of internationally renowned teachers and mentors. She continues to seek opportunities to further her knowledge with recent studies with Master Teachers in restorative and yin yoga techniques as well as her own exploration into the teachings of yoga and the wisdom traditions. In turn she is making these offerings in the London community to teach teachers how to bring yoga to students with physical limitations and has recent experience teaching at the Centre for Aging and mentoring her own students to bring yoga to students with limitations.

She offers part-time 200 and 300 hour RYT teacher training's out of London Ontario Canada as well as Intensive 200 RYT in Nicaragua, in which she strives to integrate the philosophical and spiritual aspects of yoga wisdom along with the basic fundamentals of asana and anatomy. In addition she loves to take students out of their regular environment to International Retreat destinations. Her teachings are inquiry based with an emphasis on personal exploration and experiential learning. Her personal goal of bringing yoga to “All Ages and All levels of Fitness and Ability” is reflected in a class designed for the student/s individual needs and offering modifications where necessary. One of the most important things she wants you to learn is how to infuse joy into your movement. She is mindful of teaching from the heart and encouraging you to honor your body.
