Do you stand for the next generation of women in STEM?


Join us for our third annual Canadian Women in STEM conference as we open dialogue on The Future of Work for Women in STEM.

 

The conference is designed to bring together women and professionals in STEM for knowledge exchange and career planning success that supports diversity and closes the gender gap for women in STEM.

 

Beyond your typical conference, this event creates opportunities for women in STEM and for the generation of women who are considering STEM as their future career.

 

We welcome men to attend the conference and be part of the solution with us!  

 

The speakers at this event have paved the way to innovation and they will continue to inspire our future generation of young women who one day will be looking for female role models in STEM fields.

 

We will also have our STEMing UP students showcasing their skills through demos!!

Ally panel 

We aim to unite professionals, mainly men, who can be allies for women in STEM, however, this panel will include professionals who can speak on being allies for minorities in STEM, people with disabilities in STEM and the LGBTQA+ folks in STEM. 

Partnership Panel

How do we get to break barriers for women in STEM? By forming strategic partnerships between STEM industry & organizations who deliver STEM programming to an underserved population and working together to make STEM more diverse and inclusive. 

Innovation Panel  

What does the future of work look like for women in STEM? How can innovation impact the workforce for women in STEM and what can we do about it to ensure that women will have a seat at the table?

STEMing UP Student Demo Session 

You have always been impressed by the impact we have made for youth in GTA so far for. This year, you will have the opportunity to see what we do and why we do it. As such, we will be bringing a STEMing UP Program Student to demonstrate the project she has been working on and share her journey with you. You do NOT want to miss this!

Career Fair 

Our career fair this year will comprise of various STEM-based companies who are looking for people like you. You will have the opportunity to connect with them and ask for feedback on your resume, expertise on hiring practices in their company and apply for a job on the spot. Bring your resume and business cards and don't forget your best smile.

Last year, we had a 48% student attendance and this contributed to the discussion that was raw, honest and open. We strive to make it a better experience and we need your help to make it possible.



All proceeds from this conference are going to our programs for underserved youth.

Our mission & vision:

To advance education by providing workshops and instructional seminars on topics relating to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) for low income and marginalized youth with a focus on girls and young women.

To advance education by providing camps during summer, winter and spring school breaks that provide STEM programs and activities in related fields.

To provide assistance, counselling and support to young women seeking employment in STEM-related fields who, because of their backgrounds, might not otherwise have access to such employment opportunities.
