6th annual Global Surgery Conference
Sat, 29 April 2017, 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM SST
PENDING 6.25h OF CME ACCREDITATION UNDER THE ROYAL COLLEGE OF PHYSICIANS AND SURGEONS OF CANADA.
In partnership with the Centre for Global Surgery and the Montreal General Hospital Foundation, The Global Surgery Conference brings together professionals and students from different health science backgrounds including medicine, dentistry, nursing, physiotherapy and occupational therapy, across multiple North American universities to stimulate research, discuss high-impact action plans and to promote action in global surgery.
The Global Surgery Conference will present approximately 9 guest speakers with individual presentations, including one live video presentation from a remote area. There will be a poster session during lunch, showcasing recent and ongoing research in the field of global surgery, and an interdisciplinary panel discussing pertinent issues in the realm of global surgery. Multidisciplinary approaches to target this challenge will be presented. At the end of each presentation, there will be a question period for the audience to interact with the guest speaker, while the panel provides even more interaction with direct dialogue between participants and professionals. The conference will end with a social wine and cheese event during which attendees and presenters may network.
