Conservative Management of Renal Disease

The Niagara Health Kidney Care Program is pleased to offer a one day program for healthcare professionals who provide patient care. The program will address special considerations related to conversative care issues in both the community and hospital settings.

Emphasis will be placed on:

  • Medical Futility
  • Spiritual Care End of Life Conversations
  • Medical Marijuana
  • Case Studies: A Dietitian's Perspective
  • ORN Project - "Your Symptoms Matter"
  • A Real Life Patient Story

The Niagara Health Kidney Care Program (KCP) offers education, support and intervention for patients living with kidney disease in the Niagara Region. Niagara Health has three Kidney Care sites: the Niagara Falls Kidney Care Centre(18 dialysis stations), the St. Catharines Site (30 dialysis stations), and the Welland Site (24 dialysis stations).

  • Entrance to hospital is on your right

  • Parking is available in the gated lot to your right PLEASE NOTE: COST OF PARKING IS ADDITIONAL

From Niagara:

  • Take the QEW to St. Catharines

  • Take the Martindale Rd. Exit

  • Turn Right onto Martindale Rd.

  • Turn Right onto Fourth Avenue

  • Turn Left onto First Avenue Louth

Registration opens at 8:15 a.m. Session begins promptly at 9:00 a.m.

Continental Breakfast, snack and lunch will be provided. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions and we will do our best to accommodate you.
