Are you a community leader or local healthcare advocate interested in discussing challenges High Prairie and surrounding locales face in accessing regional health care? The College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta’s (CPSA) Regional Tour will be in High Prairie on Monday, Nov. 4 and wants to hear from you.
Join CPSA and the Rural Health Professions Action Plan (RhPAP) to tell us your experiences with rural health care and perspectives on whether your community’s healthcare needs are being met. This meeting does not have a predetermined agenda or presentation—the conversation is driven by you and the issues that you wish to discuss. Agenda items can be submitted in advance and will also be taken from the floor.
This meeting is designed for:
- PCNs
- Municipal, provincial and federal government representatives
- Health Advisory Councils, seniors’ groups and hospital foundations
- First Nations and Métis groups
- Chambers of Commerce
To ensure that all invited groups have an opportunity to be represented, we kindly ask that you limit your attendance to no more than two representatives from your organization.

The College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) is the regulator for all physicians and surgeons in the province and is governed by the Health Professions Act. Our role is to protect the public by issuing practice permits to those who meet educational and training criteria, hold Alberta physicians to ethical and medical practice standards, and investigate and resolve physician-related complaints. CPSA also ensures the safety and quality of medical and diagnostic testing services in Alberta through an independent accreditation program.
