Dr. Brian Goldman

A Road Built for All of Us - Patient Engagement

Dr. Brian Goldman is an ED physician at Sinai Health System in Toronto. Since 2007, he has hosted White Coat, Black Art on CBC Radio One. He is the author of three bestselling books, his latest is The Power of Kindness: Why Empathy is Essential in Everyday Life.

Dr. Daphna Grossman

Well I've Been Afraid of Changing - A Palliative Approach to Transitions of Care

Daphna Grossman is a palliative care physician at North York General and a consultant in Palliative Care at Baycrest Health Sciences. She is the clinical co-lead for supportive care, focusing on integrating palliative care for patients with advanced non malignant illnesses. As an assistant professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine, division of Palliative Care at the University of Toronto, she is involved in both teaching and research. She learned to play the ukulele this year and is enjoying the fact that it is much more portable than her piano.
