Description

Learn how to work with challenging thoughts and feelings, to find acceptance, balance, and compassion for yourself and others in a small group setting.

Mindfulness is defined as "the awareness that emerges through paying attention on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgmentally to the unfolding of experience moment by moment" (Kabat-Zinn, 2003). Research has consistently shown that mindfulness is an important predictor of well-being and has been associated with higher levels of life satisfaction, more positive affect, greater life satisfaction, and sense of autonomy and competence. Mindfulness has also been shown to lower levels of depression and anxiety as well as increase levels of self-esteem, vitality, and authenticity.

DATES:

Wednesdays from 6-8 PM

Starting May 2nd and running for 8 weeks.

Fee:

$185 (Includes all 8 sessions and a workbook). You can either pay now by clicking on the Registration button here on Eventbrite. (Eventbrite charges an additional fee on top for a total of $198.77). Alternatively, you can send an e-transfer for $185 to anna@annawalker.ca to register for the course without the additional fee.
