Event description

Description

Coastal Connection Vancouver is an initiative that unites professionals involved with research, assessment, management, and conservation of marine and freshwater environments. We invite you to join us for an informal evening of networking in the spectacular waterfront setting of Science World’s Eureka gallery.

We will have a series of short talks on the topic of “Knowledge to Action”. Throughout the evening we will hear from several speakers including:

- Melanie Knight from the ECHO Program, Port of Vancouver

- Ecotrust Canada speaking about fisheries monitoring and traceability

- Kim Wright, David Suzuki Foundation

The event support fee is $7 before the event or $8 at the door. Appetizers and beverages will be served, with a cash bar available. Our event could not take place without the generous support of our sponsors:

Science World at TELUS World of Science

Stantec

Biological Sciences, Simon Fraser University

UBC Institute for the Oceans and Fisheries

SMRU Canada

Ecofish Research

Patagonia

Vancouver Aquarium

As a note, for those of you biking to the event there will be bike parking available at Science world.

Please also note that there will be photographers present at this event and, by attending, you consent to the use of your (flattering!) image in our web and email communications.
