Description

Hosted by the Violence Against Women Coordinating Committee Windsor-Essex, A Better Man is a 2017 Canadian documentary film co-directed by Attiya Khan and Lawrence Jackman in which Khan, a survivor of domestic abuse as well as a domestic abuse counsellor, meets with her former abuser to see if he can take responsibility for his actions. It is co-produced by Intervention Productions (prod. Christine Kleckner) and the National Film Board of Canada. Premiered at Hot Docs, A Better Man received a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

The audience will have an opportunity for a Q&A following the film.

Donations will be accepted at the door. Proceeds to purchase and maintain personal safety alarms for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking.
