Description

A CHORAL ENCOUNTER WITH ĒRIKS EŠENVALDS

A seminar and singers' workshop for choirs, conductors, and fans of choral music led by celebrated Latvian composer Ēriks Ešenvalds. Hear Ēriks speak about his life and process as a composer, then actively participate with the Orpheus Choir as Ēriks leads attendees through singing 1-2 of his works. Fee includes scores*.

This workshop is presented in partnership St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Latvian Church Vocal Ensemble, and leads into the Canadian Premieres of Ešenvalds' Nordic Light Symphony and the making-of documentary screening on Saturday February 24th. Single tickets and Nordic Light Pass for February 24th events are available.

The Nordic Light Festival is produced in partnership with The Adlers Agency and is part of the Latvian 2018 Centenary Celebrations in Canada.
