A Common Thread: Celebrating the Untold Stories of the Tailor Project’s Holocaust Survivors and the Value of Immigration to Canada

You are invited to a special commemorative event on the eve of Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) at Holy Blossom Temple.

When: May 1, 2019, 7-8:30pm

Location: Holy Blossom Temple, 1950 Bathurst Street, Toronto, ON

Featuring:

  • Larry Enkin son of Max Enkin, head of the original Tailor Project and Honourary Lifetime President of Holy Blossom Temple,
  • Four Tailor Project families, who will share their stories of survival and success,
  • Rabbi Yael Splansky of Holy Blossom Temple,
  • Benjamin Z. Maissner, Cantor and Music Director of Holy Blossom Temple,
  • and a special guest speaker.


As space is limited, please RSVP by April 29.

Please note: Holy Blossom Temple’s doors will open at 6:20pm, with the event beginning at 7pm. An exhibit of Tailor Project artifacts and mementos will be held onsite after the event, starting at 9:00pm.

Parking information:

Parking at Holy Blossom Temple is limited. There are 30 spots available in the Ava Road lot – 2 blocks south of Eglinton (one way going east). Note, there is no turn onto Ava going north or south on Bathurst. We also have an additional 100 parking spots available at Beth Tzedec synagogue located at 1700 Bathurst Street.

Also, by entering the event premises, you consent to photography, audio recording, video recording and its/their release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for news, web casts, promotional purposes, telecasts, advertising, inclusion on websites, social media, or any other purpose by the Tailor Project.
