Event description

Description

Join us on Saturday, Sept 30th for A FEAST OF FIELDS at Lambtastic Farm, near Vulcan, Alberta.

Ray and Nancy Nolan, who were both chefs before the call of the prairies convinced them to put down roots as farmers, have graciously invited us to their family farm and will be our hosts for this delicious, down to earth event.

Take a seat under the prairie sky at the long table at Lambtastic Farm's. Immerse yourself in great conversation with other folks committed to good, clean and fair food. Take time from a hectic world to engage in the unrushed pleasure and joy of a truly unpretentious food event with live music provided by Tom Phillips with Tom Leacock & Shaye Zadravec. Enjoy a drink or two from some of Southern Alberta's great producers of beer & Wine. Eat food grown by local producers & prepared by some of Calgary & Area's favourite chefs.

David Flegel from Hyatt Regency Calgary
Jason Barton-Browne from Hayloft
Bryan Michaels from Blink
Ryan O'Flynn from The Guild
Kim Vanden Broek from Homestead Bakeshop
Gord Fontaine from Soffitto's
Craig & Paul Chambers from Dancing Goats Farm

Alcoholic drinks not included in ticket price. Wine and beer are availabe.
Wine by J. Webb
Beer by Coulee Brew

Bus transportation from Calgary is available for an additional $15 and will include snacks and a beverage. Kris Vester, Slow Food Calgary's Convivium Leader, and himself a farmer, will be your tour guide on the bus and will be speaking about the farms involved in this event, the local food scene in general and the big picture issues in the world of food which are so rarely addressed in food events in our bio-region.
