About this Event

Workshop: A Female perspective on getting Buy-In from all Levels by Sandra Amador

Based on the content from David Muncaster's ASQ World Conference presentation and his ongoing workshops: Art of the Sale - Getting Buy-in from all Levels!

Workshop time: 3 hours

Agenda:

8:30 am - 8:45 am Networking and continental breakfast

8:45 am - 10:00 am How to Sell and get buy-in Part 1

10:00 am - 10:15 am Networking break

10:15am - 11:30am How to Sell and get buy-in Part 2

Anyone who has ever attempted to implement a new program, policy, work practice, or required support and collaboration for a project will tell you that getting buy-in from the stakeholders at all levels was the number one barrier they had to overcome. Add the challenges of gender inclusion and equality and you have a taxing road ahead.

Most of Sandra's career has been spent in male-dominated industries and she has faced and seen firsthand many of the challenges that women encounter in a work setting. She has successfully made her voice heard at all levels of collaboration and leadership; and has been a positive female role model for emerging young women in business.

Those who succeed may or may not have done so with full awareness of their actions and tactics; the rest form a group of leaders and professionals that have stories a plenty of failed programs, or implementations that got started but were not sustained.

This workshop will touch on the challenges that women (and others) face at the workplace when trying to gain buy-in for ideas or projects; it will also explore the role of Emotional Intelligence, personal dynamics, self-awareness, and understanding people's motivators. In addition, it will provide tactics to help you sell those ideas and gain the support of key players in your team or organization.

Combined with real-world examples, attendees will learn simple, practical tools to apply immediately and understand how to have engaging conversations to be able to reach others, persuade them, and meet goals.

Learning Objectives:

• Increased self-awareness about current behaviours and how to improve them to get your voice heard.

• Implement provided tools to better understand and develop your own leadership skills.

• Get tips and tricks to plan and develop your selling skills.

What you can expect in the Workshop:

• Self assessments

• Group Discussions

• Team activities

• Lecture component

Limited to only 25 attendees!
