A Gift to My Younger Queer Self: An Alumni Stories Event
Date and time
Location
Online event
A diverse range of queer alumni from TWU share their stories.
About this event
Knowing what you know now, what would you tell your younger (queer) self?
It's a question we all reflect on as we grow older and wiser (hopefully). But as politically, spiritually, and gender(ly) diverse community of TWU students, alumni and community members, it's critical we here queer alumni answer that very question.
Join us for an evening of stories, as queer alumni reflect on the joys, the sorrow, and the laughter of being queer at TWU and what they've learned since.
What better way during this season of lockdown then to connect with each other over zoom? Cuddle up with a friend (in your bubble), a glass of wine, and in the spirit of reconciliation let's learn how far we've come and how far we have to go.
Hosts: Queenie Rabanes and Carter Sawatzky (Campus Leaders)
**This is a free event. Everyone is welcome. As the priority is to give queer alumni the space to share their stories, there will not be a question/response period in the end. As an organization we seek to both advocate, illuminate, educate and relate with one another. The goal of this event is to illuminate, but rest assured we will have events in the future where the primary goal is to educate.**
****Zoom details will be emailed to all registered pariticipants. Zoom link will open at 6:45****
