Event description

Description

Join us to gain a better understanding of the history of sustainability in Canadian businesses. David Bois, Director, Environment, Health & Safety from Home Hardware will share how their organization's sustainability practices have changed since they opened for business, and what they hope to achieve in the coming years.

In recent years sustainability has been at the front of media attention. With agreements such as the Paris Agreement, national and provincial governments implementing new policies, and local action through local governments and organizations, we are taking small steps towards a more sustainable future. This sustainable transformation is still well underway, but it took a lot of work for our communities to get to where we are today.

This event will remind us of the work that has been done already in sustainability and the impressive progress we have made even in the last fifty years. We will also discuss how to keep the momentum going to make even greater change in the future.
